It’s that season again. The season when I get so It’s that season again. The season when I get so tired I can barely hold my head up. I’m pretty sure I know the why.
.
#Motherhood can totally suck the life and joy out of me some days. I don’t love being a chauffeur. Or a short order chef that no one eats. I don’t love having to watch pennies in order to buy a new whatever sports equipment or tournament my kids need next. I don’t love waiting in parking lots or waiting on others to make decisions…. In fact I hate that part.
.
All of this creates a season for me. Like winter or hurricane season. Wildfire or tornado season. Just a season. One that I can’t always choose the outcome but I know won’t last forever.
.
It’s so hard to be outside of what I thought life would be like for me in this season of aging.
.
My poor friend Lauren is in the heat of toddler life. She’s struggling with it as a 40+ year old woman. I’m 46 and can’t imagine that stage with my age!
.
However, I’d go back to it and start over any day. I won’t tell her that though. I hated when people told me that as if I should be ashamed for wanting to be more than a mom or wife.
.
So many things I would do differently. Better. More present and aware. More kind to myself.
.
I’m so grateful for my GiGi though. Emotional support animals know. She always knows. ❤️🐶
.
How is your today, friends? Remember… it’s just a season. 💙
