No Shame in This Summer Game: Noddy Toyland Detective

This is a sponsored post. Our story with the app is 100% our opinion.

I know, It’s summer and we’re not exactly supposed to let our little dudes and dudettes put their adorable faces into a device to deplete their brilliant brains, right?  But I promise this is one that makes a great entertainer when you need it!  (Oh, and not a brain sucker either…there is really some great learning that goes along with it!)

I recently downloaded a fun app created by Dreamworks Animation called Noddy Toyland Detective based on the popular TV series. My oldest and youngest (ages nine and four) love to play the game together too!  Not to mention my husband gets in on the action. So having a fun game for rest time that they can enjoy together? I’m in!

Noddy, Bumpy Dog and Revs the Car take you on a little trip to solve mysteries and become a Toyland Detective. The trip around Toyland has you solving clues to trace back your findings by reading the story of your adventures and solving mysteries within the “Who, What, Where Book.”  Personally, my favorite characters are the Naughticorns.  Maybe it is the name that gets me!

There is so much more to this imaginative play app that I can’t tell you all about it in one blog post, but your kids can!  They will learn how to help The Brickabuild Builders solve jigsaw puzzles, follow a character named Deltoid to learn the ancient art of Deltoid-O, paint and decorate Revs the Car with colorful shapes and designs, and so much more!

This isn’t just any old app.  The Noddy Toyland Detective was developed by the multi-award winning team behind Dino Tales, Dino Tales Jr. and Safari Tales. Teachers, parents and children helped develop this app with a wide range of literacy skills and aptitudes.

Oh – and hey moms!  There are no in-app purchases or opportunities for your kids to do a doozie on your pocket books!  (I know from experience. Trust me this is a GREAT thing!) There is a Grown Up Corner in the game that gives you the ability to set play time limits, create personalized story books, develop language, sentence structures and creativity through play.

Go download the app and be sure to let me know what you thought of it!  You can see the Noddy Toyland Detective Show on Sprout, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment’s 24-hour preschool network and also on Netflix.

Now if you’ll excuse me – I have to get my kids back ON their Noddy Toyland Detective app!

And if you’re social you can find them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
